RULES UPDATE FOR 09/25/22

These changes are effective immediately but are not retroactive (except where specified)

Guilds Subsystem Update

Update Overview: The alteration to Guilds are primarily borne of feedback asking for more clarity regarding its rules and its progression. The biggest change is to Guild Delves**, which is now far more player-driven. This means it is far easier for a Guild to advance through the Tiers.

Special Note: Game Staff will allow all Guilds to retroactively declare specific Delves/Mods as Guild Delves** (1 per Event), provided that they had sufficient presence at the time. Sufficient presence is defined as Leadership plus 2 Guilders or Half the Guild, rounding up.

Eligible Guilds need their Leadership to send an email to Game Staff before two weeks have elapsed (10/09/22). This email should list the Delves that are being retroactively turned into Guild Delves as well as the Augments that their Guild will get if it is due them. The details of these Delves** are important. This ret-con will not extend to rewards from Guild Augments, it is only for the purposes of a Guild’s status.

** “Delve” is adventurer jargon for a dangerous mission or scenario. Eligible Delves for this purpose are main mods and Archfaction mods. Delves do not have to be combat mods but they have the threat of direct injury. Solving a cipher as a group in the Cantina is likely not a Delve. Solving a cipher as a group in an irradiated area can be a Delve.

Specific Changes:

  • Certain procedures have been more clearly outlined, such as how to join a Guild.

  • Guild inclusion no longer requires a Guild Ritual/Ceremony for roster changes/additions, just an updated Guild Roster.

  • Guild Ritual is now called Guild Ceremony

  • Guild Tiers have been renamed to Basic, Expert, and Elite.

  • Guild Delves are more player driven and may have benefits for some Guilds.

  • Guild Restructuring has been renamed into Guild Overhaul. Its costs have been reduced to 1 Interim Action and 3x Rare Cmp (formerly 3 Interim and 5x Rare Cmp)

  • Improved Guild Ritual is now called Guild Synergy and grants bonuses to Crafting similar to the Binder Discipline.

  • Non-Guild members may now assist Guild Tracking (up to a limit).

  • The Warband Augment no longer grants the Inspiring Aspect Skill. Instead, the Warband Augment and the Warhall Estate can award Bounties for Guild Delves. Furthermore the bonus from Warband now affects Smites, Spells, and basic Ranged Attacks.

Bounties Subsystem Update

Update Overview: On a general level, Bounties have been changed to be a better balance to the economy, based on feedback and documented trends. Among the objectives of this change is to allow for a greater amount of Bounties to be given to the Player Base, thereby allowing a diversification of rewards and loot. This follows the game philosophy that values lateral progression (more options) as much as vertical progression (higher numbers). As per usual, we will be observing its effects on the economy at hand.

Specific Changes

  • Bounties can no longer be combined to gain Flesh of the Empress or Hyper Refined Etherite.

  • Bounties cannot be exchanged for other Bounties.

  • Archfaction specific Bounty rewards have been changed to better reflect the Archfaction. Furthermore, none of them now provide Rare components in exchange for Bounties and more of them require Craft-Ritual actions.
