  • Based on feedback, we have upgraded some Infusion skills as well as the Mastery skills of a few Disciplines/Spheres. We wanted to ensure that these got through before the start of the next Event -- the Rulebooks will reflect these changes.

    - Brewer: Master of Elixirs - Improved ability to Revive allies and can grant Potent Potables ATN to others

    - Chemist: Master of Elements - Gain a special use of a Vial Augment

    - Tinker: Master of Tinkering - Gain a special use of a Gadget Augment

    - Weaponer Master of Weaponry - Battle Smith applies to any weapon

    - Weaver: Master of Weaver - Bonus Aegis while wearing armor or clothing

    - Detection: Master of Divination - gain an Aftereffect with Detect Weakness

    - Infusion: Intensified Infusion - You may use Infuse Armor on clothing, not just shields/armor.

    - Infusion: Master of Imbuement - You have less limitations when using Infuse Armor

    - Obfuscation - Master of Illusion - Become briefly Impervious after leaving Concealment or Escape.

    - Projection: Master of Evocation - Inflict Pain or Hobble upon those you damage

    - Transmutation: Master of Alteration - Gain Resolve when using Transmute Element.


Stigmata

    • As with items, there is a general change to Traits that grant a bonus to damage — instead of granting bonuses to one type of damage, theyu will instead grant a bonus to damage with an option to change type. This may help Players who do not want to remember different damage values for different damage types (e.g. my Smite does 3 Flame or 5 Shadow).

    • Several Milestones are alluded to and will be introduced that will let current Players gain Bloodline Stigmata or Stigmatic Characters to get even more Subtypes.

  • Bestial: Carnivore Mindset is changed to this: You cannot imbue more than “Heal 1” to others.

    Behemoth Rush: Armored Rush has been overhauled.

    Feral Predator: grants a bonus to both melee and ranged attacks

    Killer Frenzy: This negates the Dominate strike then inflicts Frenzy. Also, the Frenzied Smite is an Aftereffect.

    Twitchy Reflexes: Trapspringer has been changed.

    Venomous Blood:

    • This can grant you the Project Agony spell

    • Blood Venom is only Targ-5.

    • Venomous Blood is invoked as “Backlash”

    Winged Agility

    • cannot be used while using the Carrying baseline skill

    • No longer need to count steps

    • Featherfall ability can be used on the rare occasions that you fall.

  • Clarified the process of gaining an Eidolonic Spore

    Eidolonic Biology grants Arcane Ember

    Eidolonic Biology: Abyssal Tether only takes 1 ATN.

    Blood Drinker: You also gain Heal 1 or Cure wounds if you succeed on a melee Smite.

    Chitinous Limb: This only takes 5 minutes

    Dark Celerity: This waives the Focus cost.

    Dryadic Bloom:

    • Invoke the self-heal as “Bloom”

    • No longer Self-inflicts damage when casting the initial spell

    Electric Touch:

    • You can opt to get Disarm Device instead and can use it without a Scrap Kit.

    • Backlash effects are a Reaction. Only one Reaction can be used in response to an effect.

    Gibbous Veil: This allows you to hide an ally and allows Camouflage to be used with Heavy/UH Armor

    Painful Glow: Smite, Spells, and Death Blows are increased by 1 point.

    Toxic Spores:

    • This does not Self-inflict damage, inflicting “Pain 10” instead.

    • This can also be used on melee/ranged smites.

    • Can be increased

    Umbral Grasp

    • Smite, Spells, and Death Blows are increased by 1 point.

    • Umbral Grasp attack is invoked as “Whip”, is only Targ-5, and can inflict Pull

    • Umbral Whip can be improved

  • Clarified the process of gaining a Metabionic Core

    Apex Traits no longer require an Apex Lab.

    Eldritch-tech has a new Leg Trait: Faun Leg

    Metabionic Biology

    • Metabionic Body is renamed to “Forged” and is invoked as “Forged”

    • Apex Tech: You can generate a Magna Field with 5 CMP or 2 ATN

    • Eldritch Tech: Can turn your spells/smites into flame.

    • Eldritch Tech: Abyssal Tether only takes 1 ATN.

    • Scav Tech: Gain Heal 1 when affected by Quick Patch or Repair Weapon

    Adamantine Arm:

    • Also gives access to “Block”.

    • Grants “Adamantine Block” which allows defense against Ranged attacks.

    Bracing Leg: invoked as “Brace” and has an option that does not Self-inflict

    Galvanized Core:

    • Your Smite, Death Blows, and spells inflict +1 dmg

    • Galvanized Core’s Death Blow defense is invoked as “Backlash”

    • Backlash effects are a Reaction. Only one Reaction can be used in response to an effect.

    Gizmatic Arm: Can use Disarm Device without a Scrap Kit

    Witch Eye

    • does not Self-inflict damage

    • This can also be used on melee/ranged smites.

    • Can be increased

  • Necrotic Biology: You are not at risk for Drowning

    Death Mask:

    • Death Mask’s Death Blow defense is invoked as “Backlash”

    • Backlash effects are a Reaction. Only one Reaction can be used in response to an effect.

    Dark Celerity: This waives the Focus cost.

    Empathic Remedy: No longer Self-inflicts damage.

    Gibbous Veil: This allows you to hide an ally and allows Camouflage to be used with

    Psionic Scrying: Can grant a “free” defense to an ally

    Psionic Weapon:

    • Melee Smite and Spells inflict +1 damage

    • This can Fate Bind a weapon for free.

    Soul Thief:

    • Can grant Project Wrath or Transmute Air

    • Can grant Heal 1 when certain abilities hit

  • Alien Psyche:

    • Grants Masked Mind or Obfuscate Aura.

    • Can blind those who attack with ranged Psychic/Shadow.

    • This can grant you the Project Agony spell

Items and item augments

    • Event based Upkeep: Items that require Upkeep last for 3 Events instead of 6 Months.

    • Item Cards: Many Items require Item Cards. Every Event, Item Cards must be signed off by Game Staff. It is the Player’s responsibility to ensure that this is done.

      • If a PC is found using an Item without its Card or its Item Card being signed off, sanctions will be levied against them.

    • Expired Items: Ammo Packs, Warbanners, and Siege Casters no longer fall apart when they “expire” — they simply convert to their Basic versions.

    • Latent Crafting: Items created/upkept past 12:00 am of Period 3 or via an Interim action start their durations during the next attended Event of their holder.

    • Superior++: The near future may have sub-tiers of Superior such as Imperial (3 augs) and Celestial (4 augs). In this way, there is always a reason to gain CMP by helping Game Staff with NPC shifts and Clean up.

  • Lowered the cost for most Elixirs.

    Lowered the cost for Eldritch, Biomantic, and Apex Tech Elixirs -- although the last two still cost Superior CMPs

    Added Esoteric Elixirs that inflict hindrances on their recipients.

  • Removed and combined over a dozen Gadgets and Vials to increase their individual strength.

    Magical Augments from Advanced skills do not require Adept ATNs to make

    Arcane Gadget: Reduced to 3 gadget augments from 5

    • Talismanic Jewelry can grant Project Shield, 3 uses of Guard, and a Backlash vs. Death Blow/Scavenge

    • Talismanic Lens can improve Percieving, Inquiry effects, and grants Keened Defenses

    • Talismanic Obscurer: grants and improves Obfuscate Exodus/Presence/Aura.

    Chemical Vial: The Targ counts are reduced to Targ-10

    Clockwork Gadgets:

    • Hook Bracer: Targ-10 and can house an Advanced or Superior Lantern

    • Saw Bracer: can house an Advanced or Superior Lantern

    Eldritch Vial: removed Witching Vial

    • Agony Vial: Reduced to Targ-15

    • Grave Vial: Reduced to targ-10, inflicts Piercing Shadow/Frost/Psychic

    Eldritchtech Gadget: Reduced to three gadget augments from 6

    • Eldritch Funneler combines Alterizer and Grounder

    • Eldritch Intensifier combines Galvanizer and Rejuvenator

    • Eldritch Manifester combines Displacer and Augur

    Elemental Vials: Reduced to two vials from four

    • Blast Vial: Reduced to Targ-15 and can inflict 5 Lightning

    • Sludge Vial: Reduced to Targ-15 and can inflict 5 Corrosive or 5 Frost

    Ethertronic Gadgets: reduced to three Gadgets from six

    • Chemists can have a bonus to use these, instead of only Tinkers

    • Hummingbird Gloves: grants Junk Diver and jolts allies or enemies

    • Owlsight Goggles: Also grants use of Keen Perception and Corpse Reader

    • Obtali Belt: grants different Resist skills and a self-heal 5.

    Expert Kit Augments: reduced to four Augments from six

    • Magna Batt can be put on Herb or Scrap kits and enhances crafting

    • Med Kit can heal allies after First Aid and enhances crafting

    • Repair Kit: can also disarm device and enhances crafting

    • Safety kit: also grants Brewtender and enhances crafting

    Healing Vials:

    • Lazarus Vial: lowered to Conc-10. can now grant healing

    • Regen Vial: lowered to Conc-10

    Hyper-refined Vial: reduced to 2 Vials from 3

    • Combat Stim, improved healing and reduced to Conc-15. No longer grants Resolve.

    • Medical Recombiner: gains the muscle enhancer property and can grant Smites.

    Magna Powered Gadget: reduced to 3 vials from 6

    • Barrier belt grants Block and can Jolt allies to cure them

    • Ogre Gauntlets: Improves smite damage of 2 handed weapons.

    • Tesla Gauntlet: can jolt enemies

    Spectral Gadget

    • Spectral Augur gives bonuses to Perceiving and Inquiry

    • Spectral Phylactery → Spectral Soultrap and grants Iron Fortitude.

    • Spectral Reclainer: grants a bonus to healing

    Swarm Vial: Reduced to 3 vials from 4

    • Fire Bat: reduced to Targ-15 and can opt to inflict Rot and Mangle

    • Rage Worm: Reduced to Conc-10. Can grant Cure Strike or Painful Revive

    • Void Fly: Reduced to Targ-15,. Can inflict Silence or Pain.

    Symbiotic Gadget: Reduced to 3 gadgets from 5

    • Symbiotic Amplifier: improves spell damage and/or changes it to psychic/shadow. Also grants healing on a Death Blow or a damage spell

    • Symbiotic Manipulator: can pull or knockback and can use greater disarm

    Venom Vial

    • The damage is increased for both Vials and their Conc count lowered.

    • Master of Elements can further increase the damage

    Volatile Gadget

    • Rocket Belt: ascend or descend obstacles. Its Conc count is lowered to Conc-10

    • Smoke Belt: This can grant an escape effect, a dodge, or a backlash effect.

  • Siege Casters have a basic version, which they can deteriorate to without upkeep

    Siege Caster can be fixed to a position or weapon stand to attack faster.

    Ammo Packs are no longer destroyed when they “expire”

  • Magical Augments from Advanced skills do not require Adept ATNs to make

    Apex Tech Augments

    • Celso Flare: Damage is increased to 3 flame/lightning and given perfect/apex accuracy

    • Elegbani Catapult: Gained Perfect/Apex Accuracy

    • Oyali Cleaver: strengthen cleave and this now gives bonuses to Smite

    • Templanza Barrier; combined with Pureza, gains a temp use of Block and Bash and Furious Rebuke

    Chemical Augments: These increase Smite damage and/or change the damage type, instead of only increasing damage of a single damage type

    • Chem Caster: can also use Blast and Sludge Vials

    • Acidic Weapon has been folded into Nitro Weapons

    • Inferno and Nitro weapons improve smite by +1

    Eldritchcraft Augments

    These increase Smite or Spell damage and/or change the damage type, instead of only increasing damage of a single damage type

    • Astralline weapons now improve healing

    • Eldritchcraft Casters can also inflict Corrosive damage and now use ammo.

    • Eldritchcraft Barriers can now “invest healing., similar to runeforged bulwarks.

    • Lifewater Scepter: this increases healing and resolve

    • Bloodfire Blade has been combined with Obsidian Weapon

    • Winterwind Weapon has been combined with Iceglass Weapon

    Expert Augments:

    • Reinforced Augment has been given temporary use of Deft Deflection and Battle Bracing.

    • Vorpal improves the damage of certain weapons even further.

    Magnatech Weapons

    • Magna Blaster: No longer self-inflicts damage

    • Magna Cleaver: this has an aftereffect and gives bonuses to smite.

    • Electroproof, Venomproof, etc have been folded into Magna Proof and Void Proof Frames.

    • Rail Casters are only Targ-7

    Mechanized Weapons

    • Autofire: reduced to Targ-7 from Targ-10, also has an alt fire for more damage

    • Chainsaw/Gravhammer: this is 2 attacks for 3 damage each.

    • Galvanized Weapon: This can be overclocked

    • Gatling Caster: Concentrate fire into one channel for increased damage.

    • Grav Barrier: no longer self-inflicts damage, but requires repair or Conc-15 to use.

    Runic: no longer requires an Adept ATN to make

    • Skeletal Wand/Weapon: These increase Smite damage and/or change the damage type, instead of only increasing damage of a single damage type

    • Rune-forged Bulwark has Resist Radiation, Blizzard, and Magnastorm instead of Resist Fear.

    • Skeletal Weapon - this now has the Skeletal Wand’s properties.

    • Verdant Wand improves healing spells

    Necrotech:

    • Banshee Shrieker: no longer self-inflicts damage and now improves Smites

    • Ghoulish Weapon: Improves smites and can now pull, like the Banshee Claw

    • Revenant Hide: also has the powers of the Fearsome Bulwark and can also repel attackers.

    Xenotech

    • Devourer Weapon is now called Brutalisk Weapon, improves Smites and grants Armored Rush

    • Karnolisk Ward and Oculisk Ward have been combined: it can grant 0 Focus Guards and improves healing on its user.

    • Psycholisk Archer: no longer self-inflicts damage when repelling enemies and can increase the damage of attacks with Anchored Conc.

    • Vitriolisk Caster: These can now pull and heal their user as well as inflict different control effects.

    • Umbralisk Cobra: Formerly the Vitriolisk Cobra, these can assist with its users aim and pull its targets.

  • Warbanners have a basic version, which they can deteriorate to without upkeep

  • Magical Augments from Advanced skills do not require Adept ATNs to make

    Many armors now increase Aegis by +1 and/or HP by +1 if they were not doing so already.

    Apex Weave:

    • Crabshell Array only grants Impervious-3 instead of Shielding-5.

    • Elegbani Regalia now improves spell damage and smites.

    • Owlsight array: this now grants flight.

    Deathweave:

    • All Deathweave armor wearers also gain “Quick Patch” when they receive a Cure Blight.

    • Deathnaught Carapace and Spectral Shroud: These grant Impervious-3 instead of Shielding-5. Impervious is the new term for Shielding.

    • Ghoulish Carapace also grants Grim Recovery

    • Spectral Shroud now grants Distracting Defenses

    Eldritchweave

    • There is now only Astralline Weave, Iceglass Weave, Obsidian Weave, and the Crystalline Banner

    • Astralline Weave improves healing.

    • Iceglass Weave: This improves spell damage and grants Obfuscate Form and Infuse Ground.

    • Obsidian Weave: This grants an Aftereffect attack when spells are cast.

    Exoskeleton:

    • Atlas Wiring: This now grants Great Strength and gives a bonus when using Strength.

    • Minotaur Wiring: Grants Armored Dodge and negates lightning/ranged attacks.

    • Minotaur Wiring: Armored Rush has been changed.

    Expert

    • Courtier Armor: now grants more skills

    • Multiweave: This increases Max HP by +2 if it is Heavy or UH armor. This also has the abilities of Ballistic Armor.

    • Vulture Armor: Gives bonuses to perception and inquiry.

    Insulator: all of these augments increase max Aegis by +1

    • Venom Proof Weave has been folded into Magna Proof and Void Proof Weave.

    Magnaweave:

    • Magna Screen grants Nimble Defense and some Resolve when defenses are used.

    • Psi Weave: Grants temporary use of Conniving Spirit and Unflinching Spirit to protect the wearer’s mind.

    Runeweave

    • Ethercall and Shadesilk no longer require Adept ATN

    • Beastling Armor took the Wolfhound Armor’s bonuses to Pursuit. Also, Cure Blights also grant the wearer “Quick Patch”

    • Ethercall Runes grants “Cure Strike” when you are healed. There is now a semi-cap on self healing.

    • Shadesilk Runes: now you grant healing to yourself or an ally whenever you cast certain spell types. This also grants Aegis.

    Xenoweave

    All Xenoweave armor wearers also gain “Quick Patch” when they receive a Cure Blight.

    • Karnolisk Carapace: Armored rush has been overhauled and Brutalisk carapace has been folded into this augment

    • Psycholisk Vestments: No longer requires Self-inflicted damage. Also improves spell damage and spell healing on others.

    • Umbralisk Vestments: No longer requires Self-inflicted damage. Has taken Vitriolisk Carapace’s abilities and improves Assassinate.

 
  • Awakened Heritage allows you to gain a Bloodline Stigmata, even if you already have one.

    Harrowed Body: Allows you to gain a Graft Stigmata, even if you already have one, provided you fulfill story requirements.

    Unique Subtype is now called Mixed Subtype and it can be taken twice by Chimera and Eidolons.

    Versatile Anchor/Aspect can now be taken multiple times
